Season 4 of Nickelodeon's hit television show All Grown Up featuring the notorious teenage rugrats is here, and there is no shortage of zany antics and falling in love – ya know, typical teen things! The gang road. Susie plays Pygmalion until but this only leads to Harold starting to fall for Susie instead. — All Grown Up! (2003-2008) is a spin off from the popular cartoon, and serves as the 17th cartoon in the franchise. It follows the adventures of Tommy and friends in their junior high school, with the timeline. The crew are now in their preteens. It essentially takes the basic personalities of the characters and transplants them into a world with less fantastical adventures and more into typical teen comedy fare. Tommy is an assertive budding filmmaker but is slightly lower on the social totem pole, Chuckie is neurotic and awkward, Phil is into model building and Lil wants to be more feminine (both still find joy eating spaghetti with their hands), Dil is a bizarrely street smart and Angelica is trying to dissociate herself from them to fit in with the popular kids. The series got its start as 'All Growed Up!' , an hour-length special episode of the original series made to commemorate the show's 10th anniversary in 2001. It actually wasn't really considered for a spin-off. But positive fan reception convinced Nick to turn it into a series. Compare for on a the trope. All Grown Up! Contains examples of: •: • Tommy Pickles. Averted in some episodes as he was shown to be the worse cowboy and has a fear of water. At times, when compared to their toddler personalities, she seems more of an Ace than Tommy. • Suzie's mother Lucy has this carried over from where not only is she still a successful doctor, talented artist and chef, she's revealed to have been a successful blues singer at age 18. •: • In “Susie Sings The Blues”, Susie is conned out of a large sum of money by a con-woman posing as a talent agent. Her older sister's speech upon learning this is chillingly accurate. Alisa: The money? Susie, worse things could have happened to you than just losing a thousand dollars! You hang out with someone you don't even know. Say yes to whatever she tells you to do? She could have taken it a lot further than she did! Think about it! • The two-parter 'R.V. Having Fun Yet', has the kids sneak out of the aforementioned RV at night to explore. Unfortunately, Betty wakes up and, not knowing the kids are missing, sees that there's no traffic and figures it's a great time to rack up some miles on the trip to New York. By the time they realize the kids are missing, they are hundreds of miles apart. The result is both groups attempting to meet halfway. How many parents dread losing their kids during a vacation? We're guessing all of them. •: Charmingly averted. This time around, the kids' parents actually help out their children when they have problems and take the necessary action whenever they get in trouble or feel upset. •: Tommy, Chuckie and Dil call themselves by 'T', 'C' and 'D' at times. •: 'Bad Blood' has Dil steal a tape of what is supposed to be an alien autopsy, planning to play at a viewing party he is hosting, but the tape gets destroyed before anything is shown and they have to film a fake one. •: • Lil with anyone who shows some rebellion in them. 'Chuckie, I've never seen you act like this! It's kind of attractive.' Lil also seemed attracted to Dil for a moment when he admitted to stealing the alien autopsy tape he was supposed to deliver, saying he was 'like a criminal'. • Kimi and Z appear to have this kind of attraction. But it's turned into a subversion as, while Z resembles the typical 'bad boy,' he's a pretty nice and likeable guy who's quiet with his own sense of style. •: Savannah, as opposed to Angelica the. Savannah's basically Angelica with no redeeming qualities. •: • Dil, who is described as 'Not the brightest candle on the menorah', with Phil and Lil mentioning they feel responsible for his mental condition because they dropped him on his head. • In one episode Didi states that she thinks it's genetic. From Stu's side of the family of course.' •: The animation and coloring changes between seasons 1 and 2. Many of the characters were re-designed as a result. •: The kids are middle schoolers but act, are treated like, and even resemble high schoolers. Dil seems like an elementary or early middle schooler, though. •: Savannah is the Type A, an Asian Alpha Bitch. Not necessarily ditzy, but rather easily falls for Tommy's plan to sabotage her party and over a 'Senor Jumping Bean' character. •: Angelica gets this in 'Lucky 13' when Savannah holds her own party on the same day as Angelica's 13th birthday party just so that no one would come. Interestingly enough, while these actions can be seen as for Angelica refusing to invite Tommy and his friends and being in-your-face about becoming a teenager, the episode is actually one of those occasions where it isn't hard to sympathize with Angelica. •: 'Susie Sings the Blues' has Susie Carmichael get hit with this when she's so confident of launching a singing career that she gets conned out of a thousand dollars. She's devastated when she realizes she's been had. •: Happens in 'Bad Blood'. Phil reacts to seeing Boris and Lou with their shirts off by screaming 'Old man boobs', which is later hollered by Spinesnapper when Lou and Boris scare him off by lifting their shirts. •: Mountain Man! Everyone: 'They'll be overruled!' •: Chuckie's alias Chongo from 'Chuckie's in Love' is just him wearing different clothes, sunglasses, an ushanka, and his hair worn in a ponytail. Believes the world is a tetrahedron, dearly hopes to learn to speak with cetaceans, junior UFOlogist, and prefers walking backwards (not just for fun; he thinks it's the clearly superior mode of locomotion). The original 'All Growed Up' special reveals that he was literally dropped on his head when he was little by Phil and Lil (though it's left ambiguous whether or not that's the cause; Didi seems to think it just comes from Stu's side of the family). Of course, in the end, Wally and Phil are both heartbroken when Lil manages to break them up, but they all learn to get along. She is the love interest of Phil DeVille. As mentioned in 'Separate But Equal', Wally has never been to a DeVille birthday party. The separate party was her first. In depth information about Separate But Equal, produced by Klasky Csupo. Season 4 Episode 4 Separate But Equal. In 'Oh Bro, Where Art Thou?' , Dil met a circus family that was even crazier than him. •: •: Angelica. • They also happen to be a with. •: One episode shows that Kimi's hair goes right down to her waist when it's freed from her Odango buns. •: The episode 'Curse of Reptar' makes several callbacks to the original series when the gang reminisce on the good times they had with Reptar. They mention that the first movie they saw involved Reptar (referring to the original series episode 'At the Movies') and that the first ice show they went to was about Reptar (referencing the original series episode 'Reptar on Ice'). Chuckie also brings up that if they hadn't gone to Reptarland, his father wouldn't have married Kira and he wouldn't have had Kimi as his sister, which calls back to. •: • Many references to the original series appear, with the obvious (entire episodes revolving around finding Reptar or Cynthia), to the more subtle (Tommy still keeps a toy screwdriver in his pants, albeit being more sensible to put it on a keychain in his pocket). • In the 'All Growed Up' episode that led to the conception of this spinoff, Samantha accuses Angelica of lying about her claim of having been to Paris, which calls back to the movie. • Chuckie mentions that he used to have an imaginary friend when he was younger in 'Izzy or Isn't He?' , which is a reference to the original series' episode 'My Friend Barney'. • 'Susie Goes Bad Lite' at one point calls back to 'Dude, Where's My Horse,' another episode where Susie pledged to do something bad and failed epically. Susie: 'I almost tipped a cow. • In 'What's Love Got to Do With It?' , Chuckie chants 'I'm a big brave dog' when he overcomes his fear of showering with the other boys. The original series also had Chuckie chant 'I'm a big brave dog' on some of the occasions where he faced his fears. •: The school chef Pepe, who often makes unusual food combinations such as fish and marmalade tacos. Angelica once tried to manipulate him into cooking normal food in 'Chuckie's In Love', but the food ends up making everyone sick because Pepe mistakenly put soap in it. •: In-universe example. While watching Tommy filming his home slasher movie, Lil bursts out laughing when Dil attacks her. •: Chuckie, although he tried to break his image once. •: Chuckie, when it comes to obscure skills and talents necessary to get his friends out of unusual, dire situations. To his dismay, none of these skills would be useful at any other time. •: The end of 'Tommy Foolery' has Dil right about aliens trying to contact him. •: • The Christmas episode 'The Finster Who Stole Christmas' has a darker tone then the rest of the series, with multiple references to God (even Lil referring to him), sins, and stealing. • The two-part episode 'Interview with a Campfire' had the characters investigate a legendary curse involving the disappearance of some 19th century settlers. Is completely averted and Bean is revealed to be the ghost of one of the settlers in a rather disturbing manner. He is a dark, badass, punk, volunteer, helping to raise money for inner city schools. •: Madtooth the Magician from 'Super Hero Worship'. •: Susie lampshades this to Angelica, 'It's hard to believe you're much nicer now than you used to be'. •: Kimi giving herself a pink streak is what makes Chuckie think she's seriously going bad. •: In 'Oh Bro, Where Art Thou?' , we're introduced to a family of French-Canadian contortionists. The children Jean and Pilar, always go barefoot even when they are not performing and are in their regular clothes. Sometimes they even eat and pick stuff up with their feet, even setting the table for supper! This latter trait is used to further emphasize that they are even bigger than Dil is (to the point that Dil himself became annoyed with them). In contrast their parents, Luca and Joe, wear shoes when not performing. •: Cree Summer, voice of Susie, sings the opening theme. •: 'All Broke Up' ends with Rachel breaking up with Tommy and most of his friends angry at him for not telling him he wasn't really hurt about Rachel moving even though they didn't listen to his statements about it the first time. •: In the Rugrats episode 'All Growed Up' Drew looks just like how he did in the original show, as does Charlotte. Charlotte has plastic surgery in the actual show so she has a permanent smile, and Drew looks more like Lou Pickles. •: Inverted in 'Lucky 13'. Savannah the deliberately schedules a party on the same day as Angelica's birthday celebration. The rest of the group are appalled and decide that even Angelica didn't deserve that. • •: Tommy, 'Fear of Falling.' • •: Tommy •: Chuckie •: Phil •: Lil •: Kimi •: Dil •: The kids are only preteens yet freely wander around town by themselves. Kimi and Chuckie are only eleven and yet work part time at the Java Lava. •: One sided Chuckie vs. Olivia for Tommy in 'Fear of Falling.' • - Madtooth the Magician's henchmen, who are dressed with a playing card motif. Bonus points for wearing myriad hats with colours corresponding to their suit. •: • This line from 'Bad Blood:'. Old man boobs! • The Christmas episode also refers to God quite a few times. Children's series tend to not talk about religion. • One scene in 'A Deville House Divided' has Lil completely stripping a doll naked during a play session with her friend. Luckily, you don't.and then Phil introduces a robot with plungers that fire out of its nipples. • 'Brothers Grimm' has Didi catching Stu watching a hula girl dancing suggestively on the TV. It also has Didi mention that the shows her son watches feature girls in inappropriate attire when she talks about her concerns that they have too much television. • In 'Miss Nose it All', Angelica spends most of the later half of the episode in a hospital gown and her back view is frequently seen. While she thankfully has panties on, it's clear that she isn't wearing a bra. • In 'Fear of Falling', Phil asks Tommy if he sees someone naked when Tommy first sees Olivia through the coin-operated binoculars. •: While she's mentioned several times throughout the series, Grandpa Lou's second wife Lulu never actually appears. •: In 'Lucky 13', Angelica refuses to follow Susie's suggestion that she try talking Savannah into changing the date of her party. The next scene then shows Angelica doing exactly what Susie suggested. •: Often averted, ('Fear of Falling') sometimes played with, ('Wouldn't it be Nice?' ) or played straight, ('Coup DeVille'). •: When first aired it was a children's show that focused on the exploits of toddlers. However when the show passed the ten year mark, it was revamped into, aging the protaganists to the status of pre-teens to appeal to the aging original audience of Rugrats. •: Phil and Lil Deville. •: 'TP + KF' •: The children's parents are shown to still be together after several years. •: Demonstrated by Angelica in 'Yu-Gotta-Go'. She rationalizes manipulating Chuckie into doing her chores in exchange for Yu-Gotta-Go cards on the grounds that he just mindlessly got mesmerized by something shiny and then gets distracted by a new model of cell phone. •: Phil literally hands one to Tommy (in the form of a bowling ball,) which he promptly tosses through his roof like a basketball. •: Played with by a police officer in the neighborhood thief episode. If I had a dime for every time someone blamed their crimes on sleep walking, I'd be a rich man. Okay maybe not rich. But I'd own a boat. •: Played completely straight in 'Bad Aptitude.' •: Averted, as Tommy and his family celebrate Hanukkah, Passover, and Tommy attends classes at a synagogue, and tries to win over girls using the 'nice Jewish boy' tactic. • This is carried over from Rugrats, which had Hanukkah and Passover specials and implied that Tommy was half-Jewish because his mother and maternal grandparents were Jewish. •: Phil and Lil shows shades of this. Especially in the episode when Phil accidentally walks on Lil as she was trying on her bra. After that he seems to have an instant attraction to women in general and both are uncomfortable when around each other. • Then Lil shows signs of this when Phil starts dating her best friend, seeming to want to get her brother's attention back rather than her friend's. •: Angelica's attitude in general. Best summed up in her response to a boy who had a crush on her in 'Dude, Where's My Horse?' 'We come from two different worlds! Mine, and everyone else's.' •: Every character save for Dil and Angelica (yes, ) has fallen to this, either in single instances or as a group. The biggest example would be the entire group turning on Tommy in 'All Broke Up' even though it was mainly their fault Rachel left Tommy on bad terms in the end. •: Tommy does this in the episode 'Super Hero Worship'. •: In 'Susie Sings the Blues', she pays $1000 to a record dealer to make her a singing sensation. Turns out she was just conned and left out in the middle of the slums. The 'producer' disappears from the plot just before the reveal, and recieves absolutely no comeuppance for her actions. • She does, however, get an implied comeuppance in the game 'All Grown Up!: Express Yourself,' when Angelica follows her and calls the police on her, implying that she's been arrested for her actions. •: • In 'Coup DeVille', Mr. Beaker attempts to get a laugh out of his students by turning around to reveal a 'Kick Me' sign on his back. • A variation occurs in 'A DeVille House Divided' when Vice Principal Pangborn's nephew Morty puts crude drawings of his uncle on his back. •: While Lil does try to be a girly-girl to fit in with everyone else, many episodes show that she's a Ladette at heart. Her friend Wally from the soccer team is one also. •: Principal Pangborn is extremely loud and bombastic, courtesy of his voice actor,. •: With Angelica it's not so prominent here than in Rugrats, as she's more of a protagonist than the antagonist she was there, but there's still examples of her machinations coming back to bite her with pinpoint precision. There's even an entire episode dedicated to it. •: After the kids got redesigned, the cold open before the theme song was dropped. •: Played with. Adults have but one outfit each, but the kids have quite a few looks they rotate through. •: Tommy to Chuckie. •: Kimi for Tommy. Nicole also gets the hots for him in another episode, thanks to Cupid. The main cast is only 11-to-13-years-old, and yet they all act like 15 to 16-year-olds. Then again, in the original series they acted like toddlers, instead of the babies that they were, so maybe this is just •: 'I STOLE A CHRISTMAS TREE!' •: Chuckie's reaction to Kimi dating. (And to his suspicion that Tommy may have a 'thing' for her.) • Phil shows signs of this when he starts to notice the gender differences between him and his sister. Lil herself shows signs of this as well when Phil starts hanging out with her best friend. Many fans take this as. •: Spinesnapper, the high school student Dil stole the 'alien autospy' video from in the episode 'Bad Blood'. As if his name wasn't scary enough, Dil informs that he sleeps during the day. When Tommy finds out, he is absolutely horrified. Not only did his brother commit a crime, but he did it to the one guy he really shouldn't have. Worse, Tommy points out that even though it's Dil's fault, he is the one who will be beaten into a pulp, because the local kids apparently have a rule (which seems to extend to the high school crowd) that the older brother must always pay for the younger ones crimes. Tommy actually the whole thing. Dil: As long as we get the tape back we'll be fine, Spinesnapper sleeps during the day. Tommy: You stole it from a guy named Spinesnapper! Dil: And.I'm going to get beat up for it. Tommy: No, I will. It's a rule they always beat up the older brother! •: Referenced in the episode 'River Rats', where Tommy, Chuckie, and Phil go rafting with Chaz and Betty. Chaz at one point asks if there is a bathroom in the great outdoors, which causes Betty to happily explain to him that he'll have to relieve himself behind a tree, which causes the boys to laugh. Tommy, Chuckie, and Phil, however, end up following Chaz after he asks if anyone else needs to go. •: In 'All Broke Up', Tommy's friends hear about his girlfriend Rachel moving away and assume that he's hiding a lot of emotional pain about it even when he says to their faces otherwise. After Tommy takes advice from Dil and pretends to have trouble getting over the loss of Rachel to try and get his friends to stop bugging him, Tommy's friends arrange for Rachel to come back, unaware that Tommy already moved on and found a new girl named Anita. After both girls end up angry at Tommy and leaving him, Tommy's friends turn on him too even though the whole thing was pretty much their fault in the first place. •: Invoked by Tommy, who tries to use this trope to impress Rachel in 'Rachel Rachel'. •: It is occasionally implied that the kids still remember things they did in. • Tommy mentions in 'Rachel Rachel' that he used to keep a screwdriver in his diaper. • As stated above under, 'Curse of Reptar' shows that the kids remember that they were exposed to Reptar a lot when they were babies. •: The show is called All Grown Up, but the protagonists are pre-teens and teenagers rather than adults. •: One episode has Lil threatening to blow the whistle on Phil doing 'you know what'. Subverted at the end of the episode where we find out he spray-painted his skateboard on Betty's wedding dress. •: Dil's imaginary alien friend Izzy in the episode 'Izzy or Isn't He?' After apparently admitting to everyone that Izzy never existed during his funeral, Dil then claims to Chuckie (who was accused of killing Izzy) that Izzy is alive and well and was watching from one of the chairs in the back. The very last thing we see is a close-up of one of the chairs with the seat part down even though no one's there. •: 'Oh Bro, Where Art Thou?' Humorously put Dil in this role. Dil had been annoying Tommy with his usual antics more than normal lately, and when the kids take part in a circus summer camp with a real circus, Dil is partnered with a family of contortionists. They're even crazier and whackier than he is. At first Dil likes this arrangement and even considers joining them on the road. But soon, the antics of the family's children Jean and Pilar wear him down and he quickly sees himself as the Only Sane Man of the contortionist act, giving him a fresh perspective on how Tommy feels sometimes. Tommy for the record, found that he needed Dil's insanity, life is too boring without it. •: In 'Tweenage Tycoons', Angelica and Harold try to make money by selling knockoffs of the products Dil comes up with that Tommy, Kimi, Chuckie, Phil and Lil sell. Their knockoff of Dil's shillows (pillows worn as shoes) have the misfortune of being named 'poos', and Harold tries to make the product sound appealing by stating 'There's nothing better to have on your foot than a nice soft poo.' •: Chucky is the fastest braces-wearing, red-headed, nearsighted kid on Earth. •: Betty's hot flashes in 'Chuckie's in Love'. •: A G-rated example happens in 'Separate but Equal' when Phil and the other boys agree that Yu-Gotta-Go character Princess Nioko is hot. •: One of the rare times we really feel sorry for Angelica in 'What's Love Got to do With It?' An entire episode is dedicated to him and a possible romance between himself and Kimi in the first season. By the next, all that's left is a passing mention and a brief, non speaking cameo. • Also Nicole Boscarelli, whom Chuckie attempted to impress several times in season one. •: Angelica tries to stage Harold desperately asking her to the dance in the hopes of making a boy jealous. It all goes south when Harold dramatically reads out 'get down on bended knee!' •: aside, the main cast lost a lot of the personality traits they had when they were babies. Nobody stays exactly the same throughout their entire life, especially losing a lot of childlike wonder as one gets older. For example Tommy lost most of the courageous, adventure-loving attitude he had as a baby, after being traumatized from nearly drowning and the twins Phil and Lil no longer share the same interests when they were toddlers. • In the episode 'Susie Sings the Blues', Susie got a deal with a record producer after she pays her a $1000 so she can be a singing sensation. Susie's older sister, Alisa warns her about it and felt that it is too good to be true. Susie found out the hard way, that her sister is right about the so-called 'producer' is actually a con-woman, and left her out in the slums. •: After being bullied by him throughout most of 'A Deville House Divided,' Dil delivers one to Vice Principal Pangborn's nephew Morty. •: 'River Rats' has Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Betty, and Chaz nearly drown while rafting. •: Susie •: In 'Saving Cynthia' when Angelica took what she thought was a mint condition Cynthia to a convention to trade it for her old one, a mob of convention goers started following her and attempted to steal it in broad daylight in front of many witnesses. •: Tommy says this about Kimi when Chuckie accuses him of liking her. (Naturally, it's hinted at the end that he probably does.) •: • 'The Curse of Reptar'. In that episode they're also watching a film that's meant to be a nod to. • 'Blind Man's Bluff', where, is one to Mr. • 'Interview With a Campfire' is a play on. Plus at the start a clip is shown of Lil and Dil re-enacting the opening scene of. • 'Yu-Gotta-Go' is this to. • 'Rat Traps' has several shout outs to from the kids foiling a pair of crooks in the mall and the gang also sneak into a movie called Labyrinth, which parodies. • Tell me if the basic storyline of Chuckie's In Love sounds familiar: • The opening scene of 'Truth and Consequences' is an homage to • Lou and Boris' fight in 'Bad Blood' begins with one to. • 'Brothers Grimm' features a parody of. •: The episode 'What’s Love Got to do With It' has Chuckie trying to avoid having to shower in public, until one of his attempts to do so gets him stranded outside the locker room with no clothes or towel. At the end of the episode he finally overcomes his fear. •: Inverted; they were babies in the original show, and older in the spinoff. •: TP+KF has Kimi admit that she once had a crush on Tommy and the ending of the episode suggests she still is. •: In 'Brothers Grimm', between Tommy and Dil. •: Lampshaded and defied by Angelica in 'Curse of Reptar'. Tommy: So what have I missed? Lil: Well Phil was drinking some chocolate milk and it spat out of his nose. •: Susie's attempts to be bad in 'Susie's Gone Bad Lite,' at least initially. Ultimately she finds herself physically incapable of not doing good deeds, which creeps her out a little. •: In 'Rat Traps', the kids express disdain for a movie called The Big Dumb Talking Cat Movie, which is a blatant jab. •: Although the cast are in their pre-teen years, the series tends to favour this a lot, especially compared to their carefree days of infancy where they were a lot friendlier and less snappish. •: The Itex American Deluxe R.V. From the episode 'R.V. Having Fun Yet'. The moment they set foot inside, Lil's foot start's to sink into the carpet, there is a 'moldy bathing suit smell' as Betty describes it, it constantly falls apart. Amazingly, it actually succeeds in making most of the journey. Chuckie: 'Respect?' •: The Dutch dub attempted this by changing the setting from the USA to The Netherlands, replacing American cities with Dutch ones. Despite none of the cities in it looking anything like those of The Netherlands. •: Susie after she learns she has been conned out of a thousand dollars by a con artist pretending to be a talent agent. •: The series takes place about 10 years after. •: Happens in 'Dude, Where's My Horse?' When Dil asks where his horse is. •: Sad but true, Susie and Kimi for being African-American and Japanese respectively, though they are more than that. •: Phil mentions in 'What's Love Got to Do With It?' That he likes to be completely naked at home; Tommy makes a mental note about always calling the DeVilles' place before visiting. •: Obviously Phil and Lil in 'Runaround Susie.' •: Played straight sometimes and averted others. Over the course of the series we see about four regular teachers plus their vice principal and some one-off elective teachers. However they also tend to reuse teachers for other classes depending on the episodes. As this is middle school, it's somewhat justified: many middle schools have the students have one main class and a few others, so them having the same teachers all day, with others only being around for electives, makes sense. •: Each of the horses the gang rides in 'Dude, Where's My Horse' resemble them - right down to the hair colors and styles. •: Susie and Angelica. On the one hand, they're fierce rivals - Angelica is resentful and often antagonistic towards Susie's talent, and Susie shows great disdain for Angelica's meanness - whenever something involves taking Angelica down a peg expect Susie to be on board right away (if not spearheading it) and vice versa. Over the course of the show each enacted some antagonistic plot or another against the other, but on the other hand they're very good friends who tend to look out for each other when the chips are down. In fact, they seem so used to their rivalry that their battles against one another seem like just another part of their friendship. •: • Susie gets told she's too perfect by the popular girls and decides to go bad for the episode. Of all people tells her to calm down. At first it's parodied when Susie's idea of going bad involves rearranging the library books. • Chuckie assumes Kimi is going this way in the episode 'Bad Kimi'. •: From 'Saving Cynthia'. The URGE concept, a minimalist sports car design exercise conceived and created by Nissan Design America, Inc. (NDA) in La Jolla, California, traces its genesis to a number of sources. First, URGE is pure Nissan in its look, innovative features, spirited performance and, certainly, its sports car heritage. Secondly, its creators wanted to tap into the mindset of its intended audience – young, first-time car buyers with a gamer’s sense of adventure and who provided input to NDA through an online survey. And finally, the designers wanted to capture in URGE the feeling of the bare, exposed look and driving experience of a high performance motorcycle, while also providing conceptual safety features. The resulting concept, which makes its world debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, expresses all three ideas and much, much more. URGE is pure, quick, agile, and easily understandable at first glance – merging technology, performance, adventure and safety with pure fun. It offers freedom and excitement, along with the flexibility of two + alpha seating – with a unique third seat tucked behind the driver and passenger. The URGE exterior is highlighted by an extensive aluminium “cage” structure, which includes an aluminium centre structure that runs from the engine bay to the interior centre console. The body itself features aluminium/composite construction, a glass bonnet with a view of the quick, small-displacement high-revving engine, 4-bar hinge scissor doors, see-through door panel cutouts, and a collapsible canvas top. The URGE interior features lightweight mesh bucket seats, compact F1-style steering wheel, a driver information monitor with five customisable screens and a built-in gaming system, powered by Xbox 360, with fold-down display and steering wheel/pedal controls. In addition to the responsive engine mated to a 6-speed manual sequential gearbox, URGE performance features include lightweight 9-spoke spun aluminium-alloy wheels, 350Z-style Brembo® brakes and 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels and tyres. John Mayer] – Alicia Keys He broke my heart and now it’s raining Just don’t rub it in I’m at your door I feel so crazy bout’ it You say I told you so You saw it long ago You knew he had to go I finally came around I’m back on solid ground Can’t let it get me down It’s alright it’s alright It’s alright It’s alright Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned. Mistake overturned so I called it a lesson learned. My soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned. Another lesson Learned Sometimes some lies can take a minute to fully realize His tears your eyes 30 seconds to apologize You give him one more chance just like the time before but he already knows you’d give a hundred more until that night in bed, you wake up in a sweat Your racing to the door Can’t take it anymore I was burned but I called it a lesson learned Mistake overturned so i called it lesson learned. My soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned. Another lesson learned. Life perfect, ain’t perfect if you don’t know what the struggles for Falling down ain’t falling down if you don’t cry when you hit the floor It’s called the past ’cause I’m getting past and i ain’t nothing like I was before. The Civilization series is a finely honed empire experience, but it, too, lacks a funny bone with the possible exception of its clever advisors. The Nations, the sequel to Amazons and Aliens (released as Alien Nations in Europe), fills the void of challenging RTS games with a sense of humor. There's no doubt, though, the game owes a large debt to The Settlers series, as did its predecessor. The Nations revisits the planet of Lukkat and its indigenous three strange races: the easy-going Pimmon, the proud Amazons, and the prankster Sajiki. Each race, as in the first game, has very different backgrounds, work ethics, and priorities. The Nations follows the day-to-day action in a settlement, each day lasting a matter of minutes. For gamers ready to trade in the briefcase for a beanie cap without sacrificing the art of strategy, this title is a sure bet. The single player storylines focus on all three races, as each tries to decipher the prediction of a Pimmon seer named Korn, who tells of a prophet arriving on Lukkat. This prediction, understandably, is causing unrest, and it's up to you to solve the mystery and restore order. You guide the races, by material wealth or military might, to victory. Once the mystery is solved, you can find additional competition by setting your own goals against computer opponents in skirmish mode or by finding human rivals over LAN or Internet connections. From the introduction to the ending, and cut scenes to animations, The Nations squeezes every ounce of charm possible from its graphics. Each race has unique architectural designs, over 90 in all. The acute attention to detail also applies to the animated denizens of Lukkat. The potbellied Pimmon chow down at the tavern with gusto, while the Amazons go about their business with a haughty air. Even the insect-like Sajiki are cute, and the adolescent she-bug jumping rope is truly adorable. These little graphical treats make it difficult to invoke the option that allows you to fast-forward the action to a maximum of four times the normal speed. Areas can be magnified with little distortion, giving you an up close and personal view into the comings and goings of the various inhabitants. Underneath the cute exterior, there is a finely tuned gameplay engine. The market algorithm, creature AI code, and war system are all well done, if slightly simpler than similar games. Don't let the disguise fool you, as simpler doesn't necessarily mean easier. You'll need to rely on trading products to fund research and gain needed items. More than 20 items are available to trade, and the law of supply and demand applies here. There's always a buyer, but rotten prices may force traders to wait for a bull market. Creatures behave on their own, a change from Amazons and Aliens. This movement reflects a more realistic challenge of having to satisfy a worker's need for a job and house, as well as satisfy his or her desire for love and a family. Finally, the war system is based on knighthood, with individual characters offering their services, complete with strengths and weaknesses. The fact that conflicts can be won without battles testifies to the depth of the game. The Nations differs from Amazons and Aliens in a variety of subtle, but noticeable ways. There are now specific tribes within the races with which to interact. The researcher and knights are unique characters. Criminals, too, have begun to commit more serious offenses, requiring more attention. The most obvious change is the shift from direct to indirect control of individuals, requiring you to become more of a manager than dictator. Accompanying the excellent animation is a quality original soundtrack and a bevy of sound effects. The music is jaunty yet not annoying, a rare combination. Blended in are the sounds of life: the pounding of hammers, the gulping of meals, and buzzing of a laboratory, to name a few. The audio is crisp and clean. For some, The Nations may feel like just more of a tired formula. There are no new races, and the missions are similar to those found in Amazons and Aliens. Others might be put off by the game's inherent cute appearance, having been raised on more serious fare. The biggest issue with the game is its inability to decide if it's a RTS or an empire builder. The elements are so similar and well combined that fans from either camp expecting more control in certain areas or a more involved market system may be disappointed. Unfortunately, it's because of the inescapable similarity to previously released RTS games that some aspects stand out in a negative light, spotlighted only because of what came before. Gameplay remains essentially the same, and reflects no significant innovations. The very qualities and uniqueness that made tribes in The Settlers sparkle with individuality are lacking in The Nations to some degree. Although appearances of the races are different, not enough diversity exists between them, whether in sounds, action or structures, to make them seem overly unique. Despite its lack of innovations, though, The Nations carves out a nice niche. There are few games that can sustain interest after the initial 'oh wow!' Factor wears off, but this title does just that with solid, if less convoluted action, that requires RTS thinking with an empire building twist. Leave the three-piece suit by the door and enjoy the charm of this surprisingly addictive game -- dead serious city planners need not apply. Graphics: Crisp, clean animations are clever and cute. There is an attention to detail in the building design that begs to be studied. Sound: The game features a good soundtrack and solid sound effects backing up the animations, but the lack of diversity between the races is a bit disappointing. Enjoyment: The game is surprisingly addictive and deceptively challenging. Not as complicated as some more serious games, but not any easier either. Replay Value: The single player game runs through three races and the skirmish modes are defined by goals set by the gamer. Internet and LAN opponents make for more realistic trading. The city of Terra Nova was founded on a lie: that the spirits who cross over from the spirit world are evil and must be captured for the safety of humanity. But Molly Stout and her family have learned that the spirits are thinking, feeling beings, enslaved to enrich the wealthy, especially the spirit-harvesting company Haviland Industries and its founder, Charles Arkwright. With the help of her family and the aetheric spirits Ariel and Legerdemain, Molly has been fighting to free the spirits. But Terra Nova runs on spiritual machinery, and for each factory they shut down, another takes its place. As Haviland Industries and the authorities of Terra Nova tighten their nets around Molly, she begins to question whether she is really making any difference or if her rebellion puts people and spirits at risk. Terra Nova is the sequel to Dominion. The city of Terra Nova was founded on a lie: that the spirits who cross over from the spirit world are evil and must be captured for the safety of humanity. Terra Nova is the sequel to Dominion. 'Cruel, slave-driving industrialists look out. Molly's back! And your dark satanic mills are ripe for liberating. Terra Nova packs the same page-turning action as Dominion did and with every bit as much of the imaginative, thought-provoking, enviro-political clout that was at the heart of the first book. Molly Stout is as brave as ever but she has matured, grappling with what is wrong and what is right—questioning her motives. She's stubborn and rebellious and altruistic to a fault but reckless, too, and this emotional complexity makes her all the more engaging. Spirit-touched, she is: a girl bound to the wind, wanting to bring together the powerful but invisible spirits that animate human kind and the world at large. I think Arbuthnott has come up with a whole new subgenre; let's call it Spirit Punk. —Tim Wynne-Jones, award winning author of The Ruinous Sweep. 'Cruel, slave-driving industrialists look out. Six talented laptop performers from the New Jersey Institute of Technology merge their beats, soundscapes, and samples to form a pulsing, complex sound that defies easy categorization. Sometimes there’s a beat, sometimes there’s an instrument that’s never existed before. This is music not afraid to surprise, but not afraid of rhythm or bass either. If it works, it sounds like no single machine is in charge, that a sound comes out more than the sum of its parts, overlapping cascades of pattern and melody as unpredictable as life itself. This is the CD that originally accompanied David Rothenberg’s musical memoir, published in 2002. It is available separately in a special limited edition of 300, each signed and numbered by the artist. Only 100 remain. The album features eleven original compositions by Rothenberg, none of which have been previously released on CD. Included is the full-length duet with clarinet and white-crested laughing bird, later made famous on Why Birds Sing. There’s a another duet with clarinet and Samchillian TipTipTip Cheeepeeeee, an electronic computer instrument played by its inventor, Leon Gruenbaum. Also featured are multicultural works blending South Indian veena and Turkish G-clarinet with spoken text from the Upanishads; a piece commissioned by the Tanglewood Contemporary Music Festival with readings of texts by E. Wilson accompanied by clarinet and electronics; and improvisations based on Tibetan Buddhist music, Japanese shakuhachi music, and the image of a black crow on white snow. Heli Simpson - Princess Veronica Medley Lyrics. Do believe all I want will be mine I know, it will come in time Yeah I know, it will come in time. Right now it's really hard, so hard to bear cause I feel, I feel I feel so close. I can wonder, I can roam cause I'm yet to find my home. And I do believe there will be a time when the sun will forever shine. And I do believe All I Want will be mine. I know, it will come in time. Yeah I know, it will come in time. This huge world I've been livin' in suddenly seems so small. And these same roads I've been walkin' they don't welcome me anymore. And I do believe there will be a time when the sun will forever shine. I do believe All I Want will be mine. I do believe All I Want will be mine. I do believe All I Want will be mine. Yeah I know, it will come in time. Yeah I know, it will come in time.
